How Do Our Classes & Membership Work?

The Rope Circle program has been designed into a flexible ongoing "Open Study Group" with four levels progressively building upon the last that allow students to drop in at any point in the training.  If you miss a  class you will be able to pick up where they left off last without it hindering their training. Students in each level/group will be required to take a Competency Test, administered periodically throughout the program that will allow them to progress to the next level/group.

The Open Study Program was developed for students wanting to pursue a more in-depth and affordable training in Japanese rope bondage, while offering a flexible training schedule. The classes have been organized to allow student who have miss open practice session to be able to pick up where they last left off in the next session.  Through out this program participants will be taken from beginner ties and concepts and progressively move into learning more advanced techniques such as partial & full suspensions in a safe environment.

Monthly membership fee for couple/pair is $90 - that include two classes and rope practice jam

BEGINNER STUDY GROUP (LEVEL 1)  - In this group, we cover a full range of fundamental techniques,  decorative ties and safety with a strong emphasis connection and body handling skills. We will progress to more complex floor ties, rope handling skills and continue to learn how to create a journey for our partner with rope . (Second & Fourth WEDS of the Month)

Pre-requisite: Intro class or proficiency in single & double column ties

INTERMEDIATE STUDY GROUP (LEVEL 2) - In this group, we will explore the Old School or Classical Style of Shibari/Kinbaku. You will learn the necessary ties and technique to prepare for studying the fundamentals of rope suspension on bamboo, with a focus on proper safety, anatomy, managing load-bearing ropes, and  effectively executing a series of partial and static full poses with variations.            (First & Third WEDS of the Month)
